Intimate Town Garden
The clients of this garden were a young professional couple with no children, who wanted an outdoor space they could enjoy during the summer. In this case a planting was not provided as the couple were keen gardeners, instead, more general planting advice was given on the plan to get them started. Their specific requests were for a larger area for dining in the warmer months towards the back of the garden, which was sunniest with seasonal plants in pots and planters to give the area colour. To create the illusion of more space in the garden, a large mirror was incorporated into the design in the main dining area. They also wanted a more intimate space for just the two of them nearer the house. The design ensured they had their much desired water feature and herbs in pots which could be replanted each year as they chose.
