Garden with 'Rooms'

The clients of this garden were a young couple who wanted several 'rooms' in their garden, specifically a dining space close to the house to accommodate 6-8 people. They also wanted a grassy space for a swing for visiting nephews and nieces and a sunny lawn for sunbathing. A large pond was built with an intimate bench for viewing the water under a pretty, climber covered pergola and the planting was soft and colourful all year round as the garden was always in use. A space was found for the compost and log store to the side of the house, with a trellis to keep the utility area out of site.
